What you’re really saying when you’re against self diagnosis:

1. Everyone should be assumed neurotypical and should be forced to act neurotypical, until proven otherwise.

2. Everyone who has been unable to get diagnosed for any reason should suffer in silence.

I’m trying hard to live by Cat Principles.

1- I am glorious above all things
2- Eat when hungry, sleep when sleepy, play when bored
3- Affection is given and received on my terms and only mine
4- Show displeasure clearly.
5- NO
6- Demand the things you want. If they aren’t given, demand them again, but louder this time.
7- If you are touched when you don’t want to be, say so. If they continue to touch you, make them bleed.

Protect autistic kids at all costs.

Make them feel loved and important in a world that says they’re wrong for existing. Tell them it’s okay to stim, or info-dump, or mimic, or be non-verbal. Defend them from shitty ableists who demand they supress their traits and don’t treat them like real people.

SIGNAL BOOST - Find Lovette a new home)

from lichgem

My cat Lovette needs a home. The future here is uncertain, and if I lose my apartment, he won’t have anywhere to go. All the no-kill shelters in my city are full.

I live in CA, but I know an organization that does cross-country pet transportation. We can figure out the details if you get in touch.

About Lovette:

Lovette is an extremely sweet-tempered tom cat of 3 years. He’s been neutered, but he has a few health issues. I’ve been fighting his tapeworms and fleas since I got him last year. He got a deworming earlier this month and I haven’t seen signs of worms since, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re gone, since they came back after the last two dewormings.

He also has asthma, and can’t be around cigarette smoke or fumes. He has a runny nose, too. Sometimes he needs reassurance to eat. He has a habit of trying to bury his food.

But Lovette is a good cat. He’s snuggly, affectionate, and always purring. Sometimes he’ll just sit next to you and gaze lovingly at you, content to be near you. He’s playful, too: He’ll get restless if you don’t play with him every day. His favorite toys are Q-tips and peacock feathers. His fur is plush and soft like velvet.

He can be a little timid. He runs from loud noises like garbage trucks. When he’s stressed he sleeps a lot, and picks a spot in the house and hides there for a while.

I really want him to end up somewhere he’ll be safe and happy.
